Wei Chen, the Chinese artist also known as Lorland Chen. Lorland’s own work, built from a palette of subtle painterly tones and powerful fantasy themes, begins to address this problem: “Oriental style is not just a way of painting. It should be a spirit that stands for Oriental philosophy.” Lorland, and many artists like him, want to show us a new side to Chinese art.
